This course covers the application of the patrol rifle as required by TCOLE course # 3322. Topics covered through lecture and application are rifle deployment in a patrol capacity, engaging targets at various distances, vehicles as barricades and conventional and unconventional shooting positions. Student will need:
Eye and ear protection
AR15/M4 platform rifle (.223/5.56)
400 round rifle ammunition
3 rifle magazines
Cleaning kit
Shooting mat (optional)
Sandbag rest (optional)
Handgun and duty belt w/150 rounds handgun ammunition
Weather appropriate clothing and gear, sunscreen, drinking water, snacks and chair and lunch.
