This course is designed for entry level students who are interested in the safe handling and ownership of firearms for defensive purposes. The first half of this curriculum will assist the student in developing a personal and home protection plan, taking the student through conflict avoidance/ situation awareness and the body’s physiological response to conflict. The second portion will focus on handgun safety and shooting fundamentals related to defensive use of handguns with an intense focus on the safe handling of firearms, introduce the student to various options in weapon systems and conclude with a short course of fire on the range.

In Module 2 of our Comprehensive Self-Defense Training Program, we pick up where Module 1 left off, transitioning to the live fire range to reinforce weapon safety and continue our exploration of pistol fundamentals. The Intermediate Carbine Course concentrates on self and home defense (classroom portion) and focuses on the close quarter application of shooting Carbines and teaches shooters how to effectively defend themselves by developing their shooting fundamentals at close distances.

The RDI Patrol Rifle Course (TCOLE #3322) is a 20 hour, 2 day course meeting the requirements for TCOLE #3322. The Patrol Rifle Course will cover nomenclature, basic breakdown/ cleaning, maintenance, zeroing (iron sights only), movement, stoppages, reloads, long and near shooting.
