Executive Protection (Basic Dignitary Protection School) TCOLE Course #3105
The RDI Basic Dignitary Protection School is an intensive, six day-long program designed to prepare officers for work in executive protection assignments. This course provides foundational instruction in protective detail operations, team formations, firearms handling, counter-surveillance, protective driving, advance work, and practical scenario-based exercises.
Over six days, students’ progress from classroom instruction and live-fire training to force-on-force scenarios and a full-scale dignitary protection exercise, testing their ability to plan and execute protective missions in realistic environments. This program is both mentally and physically demanding. Training days are long with limited breaks, requiring focus, discipline, and endurance. Students must arrive ready to perform in a high-tempo environment that mirrors real-world operational demands.
This course is Law Enforcement Sensitive (LES). Credentials are required to register.

Duty handgun with plainclothes holster (no SERPA or leather holsters)
250 rounds
Minimum one spare magazine with magazine pouch
Notebook for planning exercises
Business suit / business attire (mandatory for detail operations)
