Though not mandated by TCOLE, this Patrol Rifle Application course is highly recommended for law enforcement personnel who may be called upon to deploy a rifle in the line of duty. Aligned with the guidelines of TCOLE course #3322, the training focuses on essential skills such as rifle deployment in a patrol context, target engagement at multiple distances, and the utilization of vehicles as barricades. Additionally, the course covers both conventional and unconventional shooting stances through a mix of lectures and hands-on applications. Completing this course will significantly enhance an officer’s ability to operate a patrol rifle under various tactical scenarios. Given the complexities and unpredictability’s of modern policing, this course serves as a crucial asset for those committed to attaining Rifle Proficiency.
Students will need the following:
Eye and ear protection
AR15/M4 platform rifle (.223/5.56)
450 round rifle ammunition
3 rifle magazines
Cleaning kit
Shooting mat (optional)
Sandbag rest (optional)
Handgun and duty belt
150 rounds handgun ammunition
Weather appropriate clothing and gear, sunscreen, drinking water, snacks and chair and lunch
