PLAIN CLOTHES FIREARMS COURSE

The Plain Clothes Firearms Course is an 8 hour, TCOLE eligible shooting course that centers around Peace Officers who carry a firearm off duty or in a plain clothes capacity.

This program will take the student through various shooting positions and teach practical responses to an ambush while in a concealed carry posture. In addition to shooting drills from a concealed carry holster, the instructor will also cover the necessary actions after such an encounter, i.e., communication with on duty officers and suspect control.

This course can be modified to off duty carry or plain clothes Law Enforcement carry. Below is a list of equipment for the course:

250 rounds of ammunition
Holster with a single retention or more
(no cloth, lower back or ankle holsters)
Minimum one extra magazine for off duty pistol
Wear a T-shirt type top and be able to conceal your weapon
Button up shirt to wear over t-shirt and simulate a jacket
Water/snacks
Closed toe shoes
Appropriate weather wear

This training will take place at the RDI Training Facility located at 980 Humble Camp Rd, Pleasanton TX. The shooting range is located inside the JW Hughes Excavation Co., please drive in through the main gate and drive straight back through the lot until you see the RDI Sign.

Students will have one hour for lunch with plenty of restaurants in the local area.

COURSE & EVENT REFUND POLICY:

Refunds will only be made if a class is postponed or cancelled by RDI. If a student cannot attend the class they signed up for, they will be given a half credit to another class of comparable value. No-shows without prior notice will not be given any such credit. Student substitutions will not be allowed due to an individual’s inability to attend a registered class.

Class transfer credit will only be done for one class transfer maximum. RDI reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
