This 4-hour seminar centers around mental and physical preparation for violent encounters. Delivered in a lecture form by state certified instructors, the presentation covers the tiers of awareness and dissects the mental cycles that occur during violent encounters. Additionally, it addresses practical steps that can be taken at the workplace or in other environments to help prevent or avoid such encounters. The lecture is in a guided discussion form, with students interacting and providing their own experiences and tips on how to deal with unwanted situations. Lastly, the Situational Awareness and Response to Violent Encounters discusses practical options that can be used in self defense and provides resources for self defense training and equipment.
